In this album, I wanted to explore a new ominous, eerie and gothic sound and keep the instrumentation more consistent throughout album. In this sense, Dark Woods is much more unified than previous efforts. All 5 songs inhabit the same sonic world, although they still have great musical variety. In the summer of 2020, I revisited this album to make improvements to the sound/mix/recordings to give this album the professional sound it deserves!

Nocturne Infernale is the most gothic, its slow meandering character (with a few dramatic escapes) establishes the desired tone. Night music illuminated by the tenebrous flame.

Dark Woods captures the horror of being endlessly persued by creatures of the night throught mist ridden forests. These are old forests, full of memory....and anguish. Despair sets in, you can see your own breath. Shapeless forms closing in all around you..

Rêveries, a sleepy fantastical piece. At times quite passionate, but more often quite intimate. The music will drift you off into a different place, one seldom inflienced by our own world.

Carpatian Dragon returns to the gothic sound we knew earlier. Guarded by the isolation provided by the Carpathian mountains, a most sinister being roams. No amount of blood will ever quench this thirst.

Légend no.2, Sibyline, the final chapter isn't as grim as you might have expected, considering your stops so far in this journey. The mystical is quite strong in this piece, much of the ominous and the sinister have dissapated. You can follow an epic voyage into the unknown, discover hidden truths and meet nameless entities.
